We’re Corey and Maleika of Calika.

We met in 2017 when a mutual friend took us to a dance class.

At the time, Maleika was working as a full-time photographer and Corey was a bohemian, building a shack in the bush.

Maleika tried to catch Corey’s eye during the dance class but Corey was shy.

When Corey finally looked at Maleika, he was overwhelmed with the profound feeling that he had known her forever.

Since that day, we have found that we share an uncanny similarity in artistic vision, love for people and their stories.

Finally married on a perfect day in May, 2023, after two intense years of planning and three different iterations - planning our wedding and getting married was an experience that utterly changed us.

We came out of it not only way more in love, but having had a master class in what truly is important to a couple once the wedding day is over.

This is where Calika comes in.
